TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS

In the telecom systems area, teaching is strongly supported by research and development activities, which rely on funding from the university and agreements and contracts with private companies and government entities. Generally speaking, they cover personal mobile communication (3G, 4G and future systems), satellite communication (analysis of interference and spectrum and orbit efficiency), high-speed networks (performance and capacity), secure communication (cryptography and codes), and the digital processing of speech and video signals (encryption, speaker recognition, video).
