REGISTRATION

Registration is done online at www.puc-rio.br/ensinopesq/ccpg/inscricoes.html. This website contains the university calendar, the list of documents required, forms and standard letters of reference.

Students are evaluated by the Graduate Education and Research Committee of the program, based on their résumé, academic transcripts, references and, if necessary, an interview.

Candidates are notified of the outcome of this process by letter, telephone or email.

Required documents for all candidates:

• Curriculum vitae;
• Undergraduate diploma or a certificate stating that the candidate is expected to complete his or her studies before the beginning of the intended course;
• Undergraduate academic records;
• Two reference letters.

Required documents for the master’s candidates:

• Declaration of mutual commitment between professor and master’s student for the following areas of concentration:
Decision Support Methods and Signal Processing, Automation and Robotics.

Required documents for the doctoral candidates:

• Master’s degree or a certificate stating that the candidate is expected to complete his or her master’s program before the beginning of the intended course;
• Master’s academic records;
• Declaration of mutual commitment between professor and doctoral student for all areas of concentration.

Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese for Foreigners:

When enrolling, the selected candidates whose native language is not Portuguese or Spanish must present the Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese for Foreigners, the Celpe-Bras. This requirement is valid for those who will enter the Program form August 2014 on.
