Initially geared towards knowledge-based image interpretation, LVC has since expanded its work into the areas of remote sensing and medical and biomedical images. LVC is one of the base laboratories of the Brazilian Advanced Vision Network (RVA). This is one of the networks that constitute the Brazilian Technology System (SIBRATEC) whose mission is to foster technology innovation. Since its founding, the LVC has been coordinated by Prof. Raul Feitosa, who has a seat on the coordination team of the RVA.<\/p>\r\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;<a>Importance \/ Impacts<\/a>&#8220;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\r\n<p>The techniques and tools the LVC has produced have served as a basis for countless research projects conducted inside PUC and in partnership with other Brazilian and foreign research institutions with which it has active ties (Germany, Italy, France, Spain).
